DR. MICHAEL ACASIO

“I invited Mike to become a partner in our practice in 2022. He had been working for us for the previous 6 years, and with my father LeRoy stepping back, we both felt that he would be a valuable asset for our business/team. Mike truly characterizes and represents the values of the Carson dental family. Mike has the three most important qualities of an excellent dentist in that he is very gentle, precise in his delivery of care, and passionately integrates modern dental technology at our office.”  Derek Carson

A native of Ventura County, Mike attended Channel Islands High School where he graduated Cum Laude. He then completed his undergraduate degree at UCLA, majoring in microbiology, immunology, and genetics, and he graduated with honors.

He received his DMD degree at Tufts University in Boston and completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at NYU Langone.

Upon returning to Southern California, he practiced dentistry with several different clinics before becoming a full-time dentist with Carson & Carson DDS.

“I decided to practice dentistry full time with the Carson's, because I felt they were the most forward-thinking and professional dentists I had ever worked with. They had been established in the community for nearly 50 years, and had an exceptional reputation. They were always seeking ways to provide the highest level of dental care for their patients, and were willing to invest in the most up-to-date technology in order to meet their standards of care.

It was a blessing and a dream come true when Derek and LeRoy offered to make me a partner.” — Mike Acasio

Mike’s greatest claim to fame is that he is an accomplished surgeon … a specialty in dentistry which he really relishes. He truly enjoys the challenge of helping patients who face difficult dental issues.

“Mike has a great bedside manner. While focusing on his work, he is compassionate and reassuring, as well as being very good at his craft. Anyone who is treated by Mike, will walk away with a smile.” — A patient.

He makes several trips to Mexico each year to provide pro bono services to clinics who serve lesser-privileged people who are in need of quality dental care.

Aside from his work passion, he loves the outdoors and actively participates in trail running, snowboarding, hiking and biking … often taking his dog Koko on a long run.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Ventura/Santa Barbara County Dental Society.
