Orthodontics helps one create a beautiful smile

 

There are two methods for orthodontic treatments:

• Traditional braces

• Clear Aligners (SureSmile®)

​

Carson & Acasio no longer provides traditional braces. We recommend clear aligners (SureSmile®, which are similar to Invisalign) for a majority of our patients. In a few cases where traditional braces might be indicated, we will refer you to an orthodontic specialist.

The case for orthodontics:

​

• Missing teeth

• Bites

• Impacted/blocked out teeth

• Crowding

• Spacing

• Malocclusion

 

Health issues of misaligned teeth:

​

• Gum Disease

• Chronic Jaw, Back, or Neck pain

• Improper contact of teeth resulting in improper function of chewing

• Speech being affected negatively – Certain words and letters can be much harder to pronounce with a crooked set of chompers

• Tooth Decay/Loss – Crooked teeth can have surfaces that are much harder to clean and may result in tooth loss altogether

• A less attractive smile

• Various Dental Emergencies
