Lidocaine is a popular and safe nerve blocker which we use to eliminate minor pain during dental procedures. It deadens the nerve endings in the gums.

Typically, we will apply a gel to the area prior to injecting the lidocaine to help lessen the sting of the needle.

Lidocaine is a latex-free drug. As with any medication, you should discuss with your dentist any allergies you have to drugs.
